Gears of War Series 1 Figures are set to explode!

That’s right, according to Necaonline and Entertainment Earth, these action figures are set to hit stores sometime this spring.

I know what you are thinking…it’s already May, where are they?!?!? It’s estimated to hit stores before June, but here is a gallery of what is expected just to tide you over. [ad]

For those that don’t know the story of the massive Xbox360 hit, here is a summary:

“The game centers on the soldiers of Delta Squad as they fight to save the human inhabitants of the fictional planet Sera from a relentless subterranean enemy known as the Locust Horde. The player assumes the role of Marcus Fenix, a former prisoner and war-hardened soldier. The game is based on the use of cover and strategic fire for the player to advance through the scenarios; a second player can play co-operatively through the main campaign to assist. The game also features several online game modes for up to eight players.”

New Update on Halo 3 Series 3 Collectibles

Mcfarlane Toys has released a barrage of photos to share with us. The upcoming Halo 3 Series 3 figures are making their way to stores later this year, but until then, check out the pictures in our gallery!

Some of these toys are only available as exclusives through specific retailers. So that means you’ll have to shop around to find all of them. Lucky for you all of them are named on the makers website.

In other news, Mcfarlane toys has also created downloadable content for Microsoft’s Xbox Live Service. New Dashboard themes and Picture Packs relating to Halo are to hit very soon. Look for it.

Star Wars Elite Forces of the Republic comes to Entertainment Earth!

After a running out of stock from a phenomenal sellout, Action Figure superstore, Entertainment Earth, has announced that they have restocked the Star Wars Elite Forces of the Republic line exclusively sold at their store.

The set includes 14 action figures packaged in 2 box sets of 7 figures each. This set currently sells for $67. For Star Wars fans this looks like it could be a great addition to their collectible libraries. Read the link below to find out about the backstory to these troopers and how they came to be.

World of Warcraft Series 3 announced!

According to a post in toynewsi.com, DC Comics has announced new series based on the hit game World of Warcraft. By capturing 3D models of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game, DC Unlimited has been able to create one of the most detailed figures to date.

This Includes:
- Blood Elf Paladin: Quin’thalan Sunfire • 8.5” h
- Dranei Mage: Tamuura • 9.5” h
- Undead Rogue: Skeeve Sorrowblade • 6.5” h
- Human Priestess: Sister Benedron • 7” h

Although they wont be on sale until the holiday season, I’m sure they will make an appearance at the upcoming NY Comic Convention less than a month away.

Ed Norton Vs Marvel (who will win?)

It appears that the star of the upcoming movie “The Incredible Hulk” is reportedly in disagreement about the final edits on the final version of the movie. According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, Marvel Studios Inc, is currently not accepting any of his opinions/ suggestions. Ed Norton has been known to clash with directors in his past films, most notably American History X. The end of that story was that the Director was fired, and his version was used for it’s theatrical release.

So what does this mean? Who knows. But one thing is for sure, it will be only the fans that either wins or loses.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles come to NY Comic Con!

NECA’s 2008 convention season kicks off with the 3rd annual New York Comic Con April 18 – 20th 2008!

Peter Laird, co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, will be appearing at the NECA booth on Saturday, April 19th, from 1PM-3PM, signing a New York Comic Con Exclusive Edition Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Box Set. This set is said to have all four turtles (Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michaelango) with accessories and diaorama bases. This will be the only version of the box set to contain all the additional accessories from the single-carded Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Series 1. (available in May)

This exclusive box will be available for a limited time. It will cost about $50 and will be limited to 1 per guest.
